Inspiring Readers
There’s nothing like meeting a working author to inspire young people to read and even create their own stories. This is their chance to ask all those questions they’ve been dying to know!
Best-selling author MG Harris has entertained audiences of readers at schools in the UK, Switzerland and Australia, at major sci-fi conventions and major literary festivals including at Hay-on-Wye, Edinburgh, Oxford and YA Lit Con at London Comic Con.
THE JOSHUA FILES
A best-selling series of five books and translated into seventeen languages, The Joshua Files blends elements of ancient Mayan mythology, action-adventure and time-travel. You’ll also hear the story of how MG’s Mexican background and a skiing accident inspired her to write these high-octane adventures .

WHOLE SCHOOL PRESENTATION
Using videos, music and photos showcasing the exotic locations and imagery of her books, MG can entertain a hall-full of young people with stories about writing, publishing and of course, snippets from her books. All through the event there’ll be opportunities to ask questions.
SMALLER WORKSHOPS
In a workshop suited to 10-30 students, MG will lead you through the classic five-part story structure that forms the basis of most Hollywood screenplays.
Young people will be able to create a detailed outline for their own ‘blockbuster,’ working as a group with MG facilitating the process.
You may be surprised to discover which students have what it takes to crack plot problems!
BOOK SALES
If you plan to sell books at the event, it’s a great idea to notify parents in writing at least a week in advance so that young people can bring money to school.
For readers aged 14+
Introducing MG’s young adult series authored as M.G. Reyes:

LA AND CONFIDENTIAL
Six gorgeous teens, all legally emancipated from parental control, move into their dream house on Los Angeles’s famous Venice Beach – only to discover their perfect setup may be too good to be true.
The roommates are a diva, a jock, a former child star, a hustler, a musician, and a hacker. All the teens harbour dark secrets but manage to form a kind of dysfunctional family. Until one of them is caught in a lie and everyone’s freedom is put on the line. How far are they each willing to go to hide the past? And who will they betray to protect their future?
Told from alternating points of view, Emancipated is the first book in a blistering guessing game of a series packed with intrigue, romance, and scandal.
